****  Call for Papers for Special Issue of Forest Ecology and Management  ***

After in-depth discussions with the Editor-in–Chief, Forest Ecology and Management has graciously agreed to help us develop a special issue that features presentations from the 11th NAFEW conference in Edmonton.

At this point, we would like to gauge the interest of participants in contributing to this special issue.  To do that, we would like the presenters to express their interest by submitting a complete and extended abstract (max 1 page) which needs to indicate the proposed title, the full authorship, and outlines the main details of the proposed manuscript (i.e. introductory context, objectives, main methods and results (no figures are necessary), and an interpretation of those).  This abstract must be submitted to Simon Landhausser (email: simon.landhausser@ualberta.ca) by May 31, 2017.

All abstracts will be reviewed and evaluated by the scientific committee.  A decision to invite authors to prepare a full manuscript will be made by early June and at that time further details on the journal submission and timelines will be issued.  Please note that not all submitted abstracts will be invited for a full submission, and an invitation to submit does not guarantee publication, as the full submissions will undergo the regular peer-review process for Forest Ecology and Management.

We are looking forward to receiving your feedback and abstracts soon. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have further questions.
